Complete a Proof of Electronic Service

Service (delivery) of court documents to the other party or parties in your case is required for most documents you submit for the court's consideration.

Service of court documents must be completed by an adult who is not a party to the case. You cannot serve paperwork in your own case. Service must be completed by an adult other than yourself.

California Rule of Court 8.78 governs electronic service.

A copy of the email may be attached to the Electronic Proof of Service.
